Yup, that's me with peanut butter and jelly all over my face. But that's not where it started...
Let me break it down for you:
I've always loved making people laugh
When I was 8 yrs old - give or take a year - I decided to become a magician!
As a chronically ill Child from 10 1/2 - 17, I learned how import one's health and wellness is and how valuable a tool laughter is to bring joy to people's lives! Making other people (patients, doctors, nurses, staff) laugh made everyone feel better, including me!
In the 90's I booked my first corporate entertainment gig and I went on to entertain corporate and casino audiences with comedy magic for the next 6 years
As a starving entertainer (kidding...sort of) I couldn't afford a gym so I took up running. Mainly to lose weight and look better on stage. I also began studying how to prevent overuse injury and run faster and or longer.
In the early 2000's I left performing and dove head first into the fitness industry and became a Certified Personal Trainer and then a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.
I worked at a private athletic club from 2004-2012
2006 I ran 32 miles to raise money for Leave No Trace. A ridiculous idea for a good case!
I've since continued to train and entertain!
2016 & 2018 - worked as an assistant to the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks Strength & Conditioning staff during prospect and player training camps. This is not to boast, it's to let you know that while pro sports is awesome, I much prefer to work with the general population of athletes!
Now? When I'm not designing workouts / training programs for client, I'm either making pizza and entertaining or raising money as a charity auctioneer and balancing fitness and fun!Otherwise you'll find me watching my favorite Chicago sports teams try not to suck! Oh and I live on the north side of Chicago where I continue to eat peanut butter and jelly.
